A PHOTO-REPORT ON SERVICE WORK UNDERWAY TO RETURN

VULCAN XH558 TO GROUND RUNNING CONDITION

Taff has begun the service of XH558 as laid down by RAF procedures for a Vulcan aircraft that has been in storage for over 2 months.

'Certificate of Work' records are updated , stamped and signed as each task is completed.

Which correspond with gauges here .....

...and importantly, here in the pilot positions.

Lubricating grease nipples on the bomb-bay door jacks is another task.

As is climbing in each jet pipe for a full inspection.

Working the way up, checking as he goes.

Not a job for those who might suffer from claustrophobia. Taff seems happy enough!

A potential future eBay item!
