is there a simple way for people like me to reduce picture size to fit the recomended avatar requiements

I use photo shop,don't know if it's the best way but I just opened my selected picture with photo shop and resized it to the correct Pixel limit as per the Avatar limitations and then uploaded it to my profile.

These days , I use Irfanview { http://www.irfanview.com/ } ...... because unlike Photoshop , it's free !!

How about using the stretch and skew option in Paint. Every computer with a microsoft operating system has this installed....

Is anyone else a having log on problems , I have had to use forgotten password option several times in last two weeks to gain login access. I have not forgotten password and I have typed it in exactly as set in upper lower case and numbers . If no-one else is having this problem it may be Spanish ISP problem but before I look at that can someone PM me with answer Thanks.

Had same problem again yesterday and today had to keep saying I'd forgotten my password - 10 attempts with issued code before I was successful. No PM in answer to my question ?

I had the same problem in Spain last week, not had it since I came back.

I am sure Paul will answer when he is back at work, it is bank holiday after all.

Think I found problem seems when I try to turn code received back into password it works for two attempts then seems to fail - any advice please.

Pics that are the boards max allowable size [800x600] are getting cropped on the right hand side for eg :
800x600 .


The same pic , reduced slightly .

I know its only a minor prob but its very annoying .

Nearly 3 weeks on , is anything being done about this

Like Rusty, I am having logging on problems as the password keeps using my old password, which does not contain upper case letters or numbers, so to comply with new forum site rules I had to renew with a password with upper case letters and numbers, so why does it keep offering me my old password it is very annoying and I have not visited the site as often as I normally would as it's p~#ss<>g me off

Do you have the old logon / password stored ??
I had the same problem { I use Firefox , so Explorer may differ } , until I went into the "Saved Passwords" list & deleted the old logon details.

Think my problem may have been . original password had only lower case , then changes were required. Think I may have been forgetting to use upper case letter , then when trying to re-instate using wrong option. (99% of computer error is usually down to user error )
Not sure but it seems to be OK now , but internet here is very unstable sometimes, I am on a satellite system and we do get some fantastic electrical storms here so it may be something to do with that
