There will also be pleasure flights available with Air Alantique's Prentice subject to usual caveats such as weather and serviceability.

Find it unfortunate that it should be the same date as the Airbase evening engine run at Coventry ! Doing both could be an interesting challenge of course, but why clash in the first place ???????? :? SIGH
anybody else out there attending both (or attempting to) ??

10th December is the day of Gloucestershire Airport's Christmas pleasure flights when Santa and his elves roam the airfield and extra visitors will be there for the event. At this time of year there will always be some clash going on.

That's a shame because we haven't heard from Harry Hopkins, he may still get in touch but it is very good to have someone there who knows the cockpit controls inside out.
Have a good time wherever you are going to be.

Airbase is an evening do - only a quick trip up M5 / M42!

Thank you very much to David Rose and the Jet Age guys for organising this event. It was a lovely day and, I hope, very successful for both of us. :D

Great to hear that the plans for the new Jet Age Museum are progressing well. :)

We had a good day out and I got to see the inside of a Vulcan cockpit, not much room at all!

It was nice to meet you David and nice to see you again Damaris.

Excellent day! Lots of new faces and, I suspect, a tidy sum raised! Thanks everyone, for all your help and support. Plenty of pictures on the Jet Age Museum facebook page.

Thanks to everybody for a good day. It was worth waiting in the cold to see inside XM569, even if it was getting dark by then. A couple of pics from my phone.

As far as I understand this round button to the right of the throttles is the manual bomb release.
