The hosts, The Flying Shack, were very accommodating and made us very welcome and the Jet Age Museum were also very co-operative in moving up into the cafe area so we could have the whole of the briefing room for our merchandise and the simulator. The amount of people that attended was amazing thanks to the prior publicity on local radio, tv and press which was promoted by Darren Lewington, the Ops Manager at Gloucestershire Airport, and the notices about the event in the XH558 newsletters and on the forum from Damaris and Sarah. It was also Darren that had some copies of XM569 history printed off for attendees to peruse.
Thoroughly enjoyed myself and had a surprise present when my 7 year old grandson (Dhylan who came to Wellesbourne with me) bought the last advent calendar for me.
