Absolutely fabulous news.
Sam dropped a hint about a painter in his Vulcan Polishers thread so I wondered what was being done.
It was really disappointing last year when, having spent many man hours polishing the top surfaces and really bringing the colours out, it all faded again so soon.

She will look stunning for her Jubilee year. :D :D :D

The Express might not be my favourite paper but has now earn itself loads of 'Brownie points' in my book.

Landyman.
I used to be retired then I found a Vulcan.

Will the aircraft have to to be re-weighed after painting?

Will small jars of 'sandings of original 558 paint' be the next fundraising idea ?

I have the FOD collected off Bruntingthorpe's runway last year after XH558 arrived and all the CWJ's did their thing....... The runway was then swept before XH558 was able to depart. Guess what I found in the back of the Land-Rover when driving home.... a few black bin liners, with shards of tarmac, rubber/tyre, wood, wire etc... now stored in a glass jar.

Might be worth a small fortune!!! ...could be tempted to put it up for auction to benefit the cause..... any offer?
