Sorry folks, it was corrected but not applied due to a time-out. Press f5 and it should clear your browser to the correct info!

Thinking ahead you see!

The plan was to paint the wings yesterday (Wednesday) however time constraints meant that this has now been delayed until next week or so I was told yesterday by Sam,this has meant that all the masking tape on the wings has had to be removed for todays flight and will have to be re-applied next week by the hard pressed painter,I will post a few pictures from yesterday in the "photo thread" later on showing Sean and John removing the tape.

Just come from Robin hood its all very quiet though, but being a new club member was'nt sure which hangar to look in.
Parked up at the end of the road for a while facing the BAE hangar.

Well I suspect there is nothing more to say than 'On hold due to weather'. I'm sure it will be updated if and when something actually happens.

Occasional showers up here in Sherburn, but no worse than Fairford '09, so still hopeful :)

Fingers crossed but its getting late and the radar pic isnt promising :(
Feel sorry for the people on the lane. Here is a fundraising idea, tea trolley just for such occasions, VTTS painted, you d make a mint, even if people already had a flask
and as for Twitter, methinks the odd reminder, even if there is nothing new, does work wonders :)

According to Facebook 'Met Office forecast suggests she could be up around 16:00 but they will go earlier if possible.' So basically much the same - who knows...

Regarding fundraising on the lane (as I have done it), bucket rattling could bring in a few hundred quid or so on a really good day, but often it's a lot of the same people there, so donations inevitably drop off. Admittedly it's very worthwhile, but it's a bit of a myth that you'd make a mint. No doubt we'll be there many times this year, but it's not possible for the volunteers to do every flight. Not sure if anyone is there today.

As for tea & coffee, we'd probably need a food hygiene certificate and appropriate training, as well as a hi-viz jacket, safely disclaimer notice and risk assessment (tongue-in-cheek for those who take stuff literally). Would be good to be able to sell a few goodies though.

That FB statement has been out a while, at odds with Twitter, people are rathe confused. As for the lane, dont think anybody is bucket rattling today, but will be on saturday if she flies. Dont worry, also tongue in cheek re.tea trolley

okay - here's a serious suggestion, if there are days when there are to be multiple take offs and landings - I know it doesnt happen very often but I think last year there were days with 2 or 3 flights for various reasons, would it be possible to get permission to set up a small club sales stand for a few hours? If members are there to watch the action then maybe they could assist.

knock it down if you wish, i wont be offended as i dont know what logistics are involved or who's land it is

Following the progress via Twitter from our hotel room in Rome. Typical - first time this year I've been away from York and the test flight happens!!

Fingers crossed all goes well. :D
