Hi Tim,

If you are thinking of volunteers who have given their time, then yes, I think that is also the plan.
It is a list of names and nothing more... and there will be time for people to check, or for others to write in and say that perhaps, 'such and such' deserves to be on.

As it mentions, it's a bit of a mammoth task...
Not volunteers - I was just thinking about those people who had been members of the club.  A fair proportion of their subs would have have been donated to the Trust.

I was thinking the same Tim. A monthly donation has been made by the club to the Trust plus many extra payments in times of crisis and member's will presume that they will be included in this after donating every year, some for many, many years.

Well, the wall seemed like "a good idea at the time".

It is difficult.

It would be good if they could outline the sources they are gathering their data from to compile the wall then people will know whether they have been missed or not when the list is produced.  It would go some way to reduce the number of why haven't I been included in the wall queries.

I donated every week and I mean every week to the bucket down Doggers Lane..... will I get a mention....  ;D

Depends - did you write your name on the back of the white fiver?

I would have accompanied this with a wink thing (but for some reason they don't work for me!)

   :D
Its only a rumour that I am tight Sam.........

Highlighting names, italic fonts..... why ?

Some estimated 70,000 names have to go on that wall (and probably a few more). Why can't people just be glad to be part of it for posterity.

The 'italics' suggestion for people who've thought about donating an amount over £1.00 was very much tongue in cheek.  ::)

I totally agree. What a lot of fuss - as if anyone will ever see one name among 70,000 unless they are in alphabetical order. Anyway, the vast majority will never go anywhere near Finningley to see it!

Of that I'd be quite sure!

I wonder what the cost of admission to find your name on the 'Wall of Honour' will be?

Club members WILL be included (so long as the Trust has the list), and it will also be available online for checking and for posterity.

Bear in mind, it is names only, no location or anything else.

You will not need to go to Doncaster, but the thought is there...
Much more to come on this soon.
