Vulcan enclosure

With XH558 now being grounded does that mean there will no longer be the likes of the Vulcan enclosure at Dunsfold?

Regards
James

I am delighted to report that the organisers of Wings & Wheels at Dunsfold have kindly provided the 'traditional' enclosure again this year.

That's great news Eddie.
Being that membership renewal is no longer possible how do we gain access?

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that one but I'm sure somebody on here will pop up with a helpful response.

You will have your club membership card from last year.

If your membership was renewed between May and now you will have your new founding Guardians membership card.

If you gained access to the enclosure via your membership card in the past, I would think that and/or your very flash new badge should be sufficient.

This is just what I think should happen, my membership was renewed in June and I received the above mentioned card and badge.   ;D ;D

p.s. Hi Eddie, hope you are ok.  ;)
I'll never give up on the dream!

Sam, my membership for the old club expired July this year so I guess I need to look at this new Guardians membership. Any idea who I need to contact?

James

Hi James
If your membership ended in July you should have already had a letter from Sarah (membership team) to invite you to change your memebrship to Founding Guardian.
There has been a postage issue which has delayed some recent letters but if you contact the membership team Im sure they will sort it out. In the meantime use your Club membership card and it should be ok.

The enclosure is back then, I wasn't made aware of this  by my Daughter who works there! I shall be having words with her ;-)

As Event Manager for Dunsfold Wings and Wheels 2016 please be aware that we do NOT have an enclosure this year.

The enclosure has always been a kind gift of DW&W due to the appearance of 558 at the event, unfortunately that can no longer be the case.
We hope once we have the Canberra flying we will be able to re-instate this "gift".

We are advising those who have contacted us direct and who wish to sit near the Vulcan Village to arrive early and create a suitable encampment of their own to the front of the village.

Kind regards
Bob

I dropped a ball here and have made polite enquiries to see if something can be salvaged at this late hour.  Fingers crossed...

It depends on whether or not there is enough fencing left over after the essential fencing has been erected.  I'll try to catch up with the organisers later today & will advise then (assuming I can get hold of them - they are extremely busy of course).
