One of those funny 5 Squadron jets (Global Express with a mod done Thule) doing circuits around Cardiff.

Great isn't it 6 miles up the road there is an MoD base with an active runway and air traffic sitting around twiddling their thumbs so the Gro Bags decide to go and give money to the Civvies instead...

Oh and two 747, one 777 and a 787, though they probably don't count as they are all indoors (well one of the Jumbos is on the pan outside but being worked on) this is one seriously big hangar...
I'll never give up on the dream!

C5 Galaxy with odd markings - into Mildenhall at about 1515 on Monday1st.

Saw it from a distance and it had light blue markings on the tail and I believe engine cowlings in the same blue.

I am aware there was a modification programme a while back, but the marking were odd.

About 9 O'clock yesterday evening near Swindon a Chinook being very exciting!  Very low level and turning hard away from the M4 (I wonder if he was lost)

Quite a surprise as I did not think the R.A.F. were allowed to do interesting things in the U.K. anymore.

Thinking about it he may have been just on the edge of the Salisbury plain area asI've heard them up there at night in the past.

Still it brightened up a very boring drive home.

I seem to recall there are some "landing grounds" on the farms to the north and north east of Swindon giving daft opportunities of surprise hedge hopping.

Spotted an Apache heading towards Middle Wallop like he was going to be late home for his tea!

Must be having a rotary wing week.

Bet I spot 2 747's and a 777 in a zillion pieces tomorrow  ;)
