Title: anyone remember Ced Hughes - Vulcan pilot
Post by: Ced Hughes_Rob Hughes on August 30, 2015, 11:25:51 AM
Just joined this site and started looking through some of the ex flight crew names and am sure I recognize some of the names! My father 'Ced' or Cedric W G Hughes is not in great health anymore and I know he dearly loves the Vulcan - 558 was one that he flew - I guess like many Vulcan pilots. He still treasures his log books etc, and I remember being on base as a small child at RAF Waddington etc.

I was just wondering if anyone remembers him so I could pass on any messages? or reunite any ex colleagues?

Best Wishes to all

The Vulcan truly is a classic aircraft!

Yep my OH David Thomas does, he says your father hasn't changed much, just a little more white hair.

I've invited Cedric and his very proud son to the 13th. I'm sure they will enjoy it. :)

Unfortunately the pic's are of Dad around his retirement! - sadly Dad is now in poor health with onset alzheimer's and didn't think it worth showing how he now is.
He is still home with his wife Ann who also has alzheimer's and his eyes light up when he hears and see's his old Vulcan.
