"Dan O" - the Sunday Sport of aviation...  ;)
Haha, the Daily Sport and Sunday Sport, they had some great headlines! Wasn't there a Liberator crashed on the moon once, then a London Double Decker bus got transported to the North Pole... :o

Aviation Waffle / Re: Scampton Airshow 2017

I hope a few of you are going to the all new Scampton Airshow this weekend, whilst it will not be as grand as Waddington was I think that it is only fair to give the organisers a chance and to see what they can put on !
One thing for certain is that I will not be visiting the VTTS (or whatever they are currently calling it) stand or contributing any further funding to them,I am more likely to donate to the "Just Jane" project or the "Peoples Mosquito" by far more worthy than the VTTS cash cow !!

Mike
Ok, I can understand that opinion and fully agree where you are coming from on that. I have been involved with, and still do from an immediate family connection, a link to the VTTS merch stall and can honestly say that the time and effort put in by these people is second to none. As a 'lurker' on this site for an awful long time I think that some of us may be linking the current issues with XH588 with those that are still trying to bring in money to the project. To be clear here I no links to those in charge except for the friendships I have garnered through the years of helping out at various airshows over the years.b

Spotted Yesterday about 11ish. Whilst on a Harbour Tour of Pompey to see 'Big Lizzie' and all the T45's in for repair I noticed an usual aircraft flying over. Happened to be Sally-B, no doubt on her way back from B'mouth airshow as all the flying was cancelled yesterday due to the weather.

Will there be a Vulcan members enclosure at wings and wheels 2017?
Yes there will, however I am not aware of what checks will be made to see if you eligible to enter.

Having lived in Blackpool for 21 years, I know only too well what can happen to Vulcans left outside Airports.

Any chance to save her, GO FOR IT!
Crikey, you just come out of hibernation! Is Blackpool that bad ;-)

Should we re-name this the "not spotted" thread then?
Crikey I hope not, I work at North Harbour in Pompey and continuously hear Wokkas and Merlins buzzing around...copter that is, not the RR V12!

You could always send it to me directly - my bank account account details are .....  ;)
Cheers Sam, Just Giving do make money out of fundraising which I'd never given a thought to until I heard it mentioned from a pledge that made a ridiculous amount of money and someone queried how much of that would go to them...from their website -

"JustGiving takes a 5% fee from each donation made through the site (which we take from the Gift Aid we reclaim). In return we help people raise more money, more efficiently. By leaving the costly and time-consuming stuff to us, charities can spend more time, energy and money on doing good."

So not a great deal, but it all adds up I guess.

I will send money direct to you once Kofi Annan has finished depositing the $3.5 million dollars to my account that he promised towards the end of next year, I'm sure it should have arrived by now...  :P

Hey Sam, is there any other way to donate as I'm starting to get a bit peeved about how much JustGiving have made from my donations over the many years that I've given to various charidees.
