Hercules at LL (1200ft) heading west from South Birmingham .. (apparently had come from France, looped around Birmingham at LL and returned to Brize ..
And Yesterday (by Mrs and Kids) Red Arrows (all 10) as they did a Flypast at Solihull before heading South West

"Dan O" - the Sunday Sport of aviation...  ;)
Haha, the Daily Sport and Sunday Sport, they had some great headlines! Wasn't there a Liberator crashed on the moon once, then a London Double Decker bus got transported to the North Pole... :o

Lancaster and it was 2nd Edition !! 1st edition was the Double Decker at the North Pole

Are you sure about that?
It's still there as far as I know,  as is G-BWGL, which arrived just over a week earlier ( both are at HAS for maintenance )
Granted I may have missed it, but I haven't heard it working St Athan or Cardiff since it arrived - the only ex-Mil that have done air-tests then departed recently are JPs & L-29s
SWAG also hasn't reported it as having departed.

I might've misread the info I was passed and for that I apologise ..

Should anybody pop in, whilst staying at my daugher's in Cinderford, yesterday Monday, 1400 hours, heard a fairly low jet engine, and emerging from the clouds was a Hawker Hunter, was I pleased?

Apparently, according to Funtera, it belonged to the Dutch Hawker Hunter Foundation, registration G-KAXF. It came in from Holland but I couldn't find where it landed.
St Athan, was there for 2 days and went home

A routine inspection has highlighted a fault with one of the Merlin engines in a Hurricane aircraft. We are currently investigating the fault and as a precaution, flying of Merlin engine powered aircraft has been paused. We are still operating Griffon & Gypsy powered aircraft, including Spitfires and Chipmunks. We realise the disappointment this will be to our many supporters, however safety remains our paramount concern
