Thank You.

Rutland water car parks were all full, people were arriving hours early. I met a chap who missed 558 yesterday at Windemere and had travelled again today. 558 was low with a couple of turns to show off her Delta. The roads were very busy immediately after the flypast

558 over my campsite in Sidmouth, Devon, on her way to Dartmouth, what a shock, I hadn't realised Dartmouth was having her'

A fellow camper shouted look, a Delta wing'

sat at the Minack theatre and was treated to a very low and close fly past by a Merlin, side door was open with crew waving. We then had about 20 Dolphins swim past, what a fantastic place'

I normally look for the smoke trails in the distance, heralding the arrival of 558, but on both the transit to Welshpool (14 thousand feet?) and display arrival i missed them.

Is it my imagination or is there less smoke than previous seasons?

I guess the flight profile has an effect, being more efficienet at higher altitudes and is the fuel usage less?

Very impressed with the slow spiral climb and wingovers ;D

Wokka directly over my house in Bromsgrove this morning, not an uncommon site

Welcome :D

An exciting time to be a fan of the vulcan.

Have you seen much of 558?

It was one of a pair heading to Bruntingthorpe to begin a new life as a washing machine.

I thought it might be :(
A low slow turn followed by a "power climb" was an unusual sight over Rugby town centre :D

Thanks for the info :)

I looked at the time and thought it was a bit odd

They won't be able to do that in the year 2060 :D

Caught the end of midlands evening news about Queens visit to Cosford, apparently the Queen was asking about 558's bit of engine trouble.

If this was the one at RIAT, the pilot spoke on the commentary about this unusual aircraft. He clearly loved it.

Very sad.
