Engineering / Slush Fund
« on: June 27, 2012, 06:50:19 PM »
I think we as forum users need to start a slush fund as appreciation for the dam hard graft that these dedicated individuals on the engineering team have put in through the winter service and the last few weeks after this last hiccup. I think they are in need to have a drink on us and let their hair down (or whats left of it)

We need to get a bucket sorted out at Waddington to kick start it

One of friends was flying out of Heathrow Terminal 3 and noticed a poster on a stand advertising the late Steve Jobs book in the window, and thought to him self I have seen that before somewhere?

Once he arrived in New Zealand he starts to wonder where he has seen it then remembers its in my other halfs weeping-willows photo stream on Flik,r so he took a quick snap shot

If anyone else has seen it in a WH Smith's please let me know

She sold the image to them about a year ago

Engineering / Possible Bird Strike on take off
« on: June 19, 2011, 01:20:52 PM »
Has anyone any info on the possible bird strike when taking off from Doncaster on Friday that was mentioned in another thread. I noticed that the last message on the twitter feed that day said that she was serviceable. It usually doesn't mention that when she returns from a sortie or display, the last thing we usually see is that she has landed. So I was just wondering what if anything had occured?
