I've just spotted a Bright Yellow, MRCA (Multi Role Cleaning Attendant)...walking past my house with his cart of brooms and other utensils! Haven't seen one of them for years, I guess Austerity really is over ;-)

Yesterday afternoon a very loud jet went over the village..Later found out it was an F35!!

Indeed, RAF Halton is next for the chop I believe. I took my Dad to one of his reunion days there a while back. We took a walk around the WWI trenches there and were used for training purposes, hopefully these and the historic Halton house will be preserved.

Yes, just about survived! A busy airshow week for her though...
...and another, she is at Farnborough all week with her company who have a stand in the exhibition hall!

Thanks to everyone who visited the events trailer at RIAT last weekend. I was only there on the Saturday, but great to see old (and new) friends and so many Vulcan T-shirts, not to mention FG badges. There was lots of interest, onwards and upwards I hope!
Didn't get to make it this year, to be honest haven't been for a while! Hope you survived working alongside my Daughter!  C:-)

Just heard something Merlin'ish go over the back of the house (and I don't mean a Wizard!) managed to catch the tail end of it and reckon it was either a Spit or Hurri.  8)

Well I imagine if anyone is in the flight path today then they could well be spotting rather a lot of RAF aircraft today!  C:-)

"Dan O" - the Sunday Sport of aviation...  ;)
Haha, the Daily Sport and Sunday Sport, they had some great headlines! Wasn't there a Liberator crashed on the moon once, then a London Double Decker bus got transported to the North Pole... :o

Hmm, try this then? Says for 'Members Only' but assume you are still!

I hope a few of you are going to the all new Scampton Airshow this weekend, whilst it will not be as grand as Waddington was I think that it is only fair to give the organisers a chance and to see what they can put on !
One thing for certain is that I will not be visiting the VTTS (or whatever they are currently calling it) stand or contributing any further funding to them,I am more likely to donate to the "Just Jane" project or the "Peoples Mosquito" by far more worthy than the VTTS cash cow !!

Ok, I can understand that opinion and fully agree where you are coming from on that. I have been involved with, and still do from an immediate family connection, a link to the VTTS merch stall and can honestly say that the time and effort put in by these people is second to none. As a 'lurker' on this site for an awful long time I think that some of us may be linking the current issues with XH588 with those that are still trying to bring in money to the project. To be clear here I no links to those in charge except for the friendships I have garnered through the years of helping out at various airshows over the years.b
