I thought a replica had already ben made for a previous documentary.
In fact I'm sure I saw it at the Imperial war museum.

Edited to add

Here it is
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Coldi ... eplica.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ironically it was Channel 4 who made the earlier documentary

A replica of the Colditz glider was built for the 2000 Channel 4 (UK) 3-part (150 minute total) Escape from Colditz documentary, and was flown successfully by John Lee on its first attempt at RAF Odiham with Best and Goldfinch in tearful attendance. It is currently housed at the Imperial War Museum in London. The Channel 4 material was edited to 60 minutes and shown in the US in 2001 as Nazi Prison Escape on the NOVA television series.

So quite why they needed to do it again who knows especially as it was a sucess first time !
But once again the Daily Mail has shown how on the ball it is !

Err that is understood........... but it is possible that there will be a duplication still mores the merrier, we have had a staff illness crisis but are trying to keep on top of things - please be patient guys and don't be too sacastic about our efforts

We have this month to date picked over 1100 items from the webstore and produced over 700 CLR Certificate.

The problem is that it is not enough .............. we need to sell more if we are to achieve the target income set down elsewhere, so please if you have anything spare that you can give to XH558 please do, the Winter Service Sale still has a week to run so if you still have your mailshot use it or go on line and see if you can't find that piece of clothing or other items you have always wanted !

By choice of the independent judges the winner is

Mr Tim (Tim Bell)

who in their assessment concluded that on the basis of following the rules for avoiding sunstroke by wearing a hat and coordinating his diving equipment (yellow and black) whilst managing to avoid being attacked by either sharks or Bedouins did manage to look as if it was an everyday occurance to go diving in a baseball cap !

Congratulations Tim

Your prize is on the way shortly ...................................................oh you want to know what it is..................

a 'Spirit of Great Britain' Baseball Cap of course
