Book / Film / TV Reviews / 127 Hours

Having read the write ups on this, reviews and something about the guy himself I felt I needed to see the film. It's not everybody's idea of film watching so ended up going on my own this afternoon.

You can but only feel admiration for the guy, and he admits it was his fault he hadn't notified anybody of his plan or destination, that added to his problem.

I hadn't been to the cinema for years and it seems they now cater for the deafest person ever to attend their venue. Apart from the 25 minute lead in of ads and trailers, there is the constant bombardment on your ears - I can only think they are all ex-DJ's who set it up, as they are of the ilk that "the louder it is the better is sounds".

I got this book for Christmas but only was able to start it on Tuesday - finished it last night. Great read, loads of detail and insight, especially the relationship between Avro, ETPS at Boscombe and R.A.F., very interesting.
