In the Lakes today -
Ullswater - one Hercules, 1 Heli thingy, 1 Tornado and then
going up Kirkstone towards Windermere a singe Tornado followed a few minutes later by 2 more - made the back seat passengers jump slightly :-)

I expect you would be jumpy if you had been "singed" by a Tornado!

Two Cobham jets heading for Hurn.  Unusually, very widely spaced...

Edit:  the third one has just gone past too.

Just spent a few days in Norfolk.  The highlight was seeing three F15s dog fighting just south of Sherringham!  This was around 6:30 to 7pm too which surprised me.  I take it the yanks don't stick to 9-5 like the RAF seem to?

We were staying with my wife's 98 year old Granddad, who lives only 10 or 12 miles from Marham, so as you might expect, we saw a few Tornado, although more often than not, you can hear but not see them.  On the way back home today, at around 11am, we saw a lone Tornado quite low, which turned alongside us and then seemed to be heading in the direction of Swaffham, seeing as it was following the A1065 (IFR - I Follow Roads   ).  I wondered if it perhaps did a flypast over the town, seeing as the 'Welcome Home' parade was taking place at that time for one of the Marham Squadrons.

Yeah! It's been an interesting few days over Ely with the Mildenhall and Lakenheath traffic. It's just a shame the cloud was so low as I couldn't see a lot of what was going on.

Saw a Spitfire and Hurricane over Spalding earlier this afternoon.  No photographs as they were quite a way away, and only spotted through the gaps in the tree line.  The Dakota should have been over before the Spitfire and Hurricane, but didn't hear or see it.  Not quite sure where they were doing a flypast at.  Was looking forward to taking pictures of them if I had known exactly where they were going to be. :( :(

At 4.30 saw a Spitfire and Hurricane (or possibly 2 Spitfires) going north over Pewsey, Wiltshire.
