Two Chinooks just did a fairly low pass heading from Hamworthy direction then turned in and landed at Hurn.

Edit: both just departed - headed South a far way out to sea before turning Eastwards.

The Wokkas went straight over me on the way to Corfe Mullen... low or what ? :D. Also 2 Herky Birds over Bournemouth/Old Harry mid afternoon.

Flying VERY low in comparative terms, much more so than usual when they make their trips around the bay.  Must be not far off airshow display height!

Anyone any ideas ?? Long loud multi-engined jet noise in the area Of Broughton Astley at 1545 today. Sounded like something very big leaving Brunty or doing circuits as it was heard twice within 5 minutes and sounde very low but low cloud hid it!

Wokka low in the circuit at Hurn.

Lulworth Range is extremely active at the moment as well - windows rattling here sometimes, and we can hear what sounds like machine gun fire. I think the wind is just in the right direction!

Gold, strangely familiar triangular shaped lapel badge. BBC2 Daily Politics programme 12:08pm. Attached to Gerald Howarth MP - President of the British Air Display Association and Trustee of a certain VTTST...  :)

I stopped Vince Cable dead in his tracks at the 2012 Cheltenham Times Science Festival. After updating him on XH558 I gave him a small gold effect lapel badge. I look for it every time he's on the TV but not seen him wearing it yet but someone told me he had it on during an interview a few months ago.
It's all good PR and publicity  :)

For the first time in ages (to my knowledge) there's a Wokka over Bournemouth, in all that nasty cloud....

Could've sworn I saw a Merlin over Lancing/Shoreham when I left the dentists on Wednesday morning. Heading NW on it's way somewhere.

Noisy but nice!
Great to be able to actually see them instead of just hearing them on a night trying to blow the tiles off my roof at home!!!  ;)
