Definately 2 F15s - just seen 'em both!  ;D
Good to know, ta - I heard them, but couldn't see anything.  An F15 was my guess, but nice to have it confirmed!!

Been told it is a Piper Navajo (Chieftain)

Can see them a lot closer @ Robin Hood/Maid Marion/Friar Tuck international.

They've landed cos it's too foggy for them to get back into Scampton!

Wow!

Like a real airport here today!

As well as the six Red Arrows (which we saw twice as they had to come back again as it was still too foggy for them to get back in to Scampton)

There was one of those funny 5 Sqn things that looks like it's had a roof box fitted to it  ;)

We also had a  real live Atlas 747 (looks like it came in for some freight - the baggage handlers must have had a fit!)

Also saw two Tiger Moths (which don't really count as they are being re-built in a workshop in Heyford house - but I still saw them)
I'll never give up on the dream!

You nearly got your wish today!

About 20 or so erk's turned up from Waddington and Scampton to sort out their jets before they went home.

All gone now (back to sleepy hollow)

We did have an F15 on a couple of evenings and a Chinook on Thursday.

I suspect the rain has dampened the fire considerably now.  Got a leaflet through the door yesterday from the oily compensation merchants peddling their sleazy trade.  It was barely worse than a neighbour's bonfire really (thanks to the wind direction).  I doubt anyone from Sherburn village has any genuine reason to claim.

I caught sight them too.  They seemed a lot louder than normal.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance landed just near me to deal with a 2 vehicle RTA. Air Ambulance was not needed. Photos of the aircraft taken with permission of a police officer. Stood 30 metres from the aircraft when it took off.  It bowed to us before leaving.
