Two Hercs zipping by low under the cloud base (it's peeing down here), following the M5 then banking right, so presumably back to Brize for tea!

9 BAE Hawks, all painted the same colour, dumping burnt diesel over Southsea Common. Spotted from top of Portsdown Hill in Cosham which was unusually busy for 14:00 on a Thursday!

Yorks Air Amblulance doing circuits of Sherburn Airfield yesterday.  Training I presume, unless he was having a lot of trouble finding an incident.  Not much of a consolation for not seeing 558 at Elvington, but there you go...

Also seen one or two Lynxes in the area lately.
I'm masking my indifference with a veneer of detachment

Dakota with nice shiny "D-day" stripes and very tidy paint (most likely the BBMF one) heading North from Romsey about 15:00 today.

Heard something that sounded like it was Merlin powered over Soton about 18:30 but could not see what it was as I was in a wood at the time.

Did I mention that I had spotted a large triangular spared aircraft in the vicinity of Robin Hood/Maid Marion/Friar Tuck airport?

Is it possible to get a historical check on "Flight radar"?

BBMF Dak did flyby at Lymington, at ex RAF Lymington forward landing ground today. Two spitfires also there twice, though could not land as grass runway was a bit soft due to the rain last night! 18:30 would have been about right for the second passes/departure?

A Hurricane was on the ground, plus Reds did full display. Harvard, Piper passes. Good day out but now sunburnt!

I think I should tell you guys about these events when I know - sorry assumed it was well known!

Whilst digging at the allotment I heard a Merlin, then spotted a Spit with wheels down circling and what looked like on approach to ex RNAS Lee-On-Solent...this was about 15:30.
