He's been over this way too, but not spotted him yet.  Making enough noise though.

Very noisy jet over Wilberfoss! Suspect the F15's are playing, not off out to check coz it's freezing out there!  :))

At about 12 noon today, over Spalding, was a 2 engine jet (refuelling) followed by a 4 engine jet followed by 2 x F15s. They were heading North or North East.  No idea of big jet types.

Were they actually together or just followed on ?

The 2 F15s were flying side by side, and following the 2 big jets.

The refueler could have been a "Voyager" one has been loitering over the North Sea for the last few days,I am not sure if the F15's can refuel from it but I would asume so as all NATO aircraft are supposed to be compatible.

I thought the four engined job would be a KC135 with possibly a C40? Perhaps Minty can confirm the positions?

IIRC
most USAF A/C can't refuel from Voyager as they only have the Boom Refuelling Points.
They aren't equipped for Hose'n'Drogue Ops
I've only seen vids of US Helicopters refuelling from Drogues as the rotors would destroy a Boom

So, I'm with Planenut on the KC135
