Any idea what the grey Military jet was doing circuits over DSA about lunch time? I am led to believe it was a Voyager of some sort, but can't find any mention of it thus far.

Cheers

Ty.

Lots and Lots of noise as aircraft make their way into Fairford but due to cloud only managed to catch a Tucano at 1400 and the two Tornadoes later when it was very sunny but can't remember the time!!

Last Friday - low, loud, and fast - what I assume was an F15, going north over the Gower Peninsula. Too quick for a photo. Do they train over there?

I heard a loud noise at 10:30, what that 558 leaving RIAT?

She was scheduled out at 11.10 but didn't depart until after 1300........ and she came back for a nice turn over the airfield before departing for the .....south, clearly not going home.

11:25 - a very grey, wet and low cloud base Gloucester but managed to catch this Sea King flying over. A very unusual sight nowadays.

No idea what that notice is on the side of it, anyone know anything about this? I was too busy trying to focus through the window to try to read it.

EDIT NOTE - Blew up the photo in the hope that I could see the sign on the side. It turns out to be the RN banner with the White Ensign and ROYAL NAVY underneath.

Hi,

I'd guess it was probably on its way to or from Sunderland. We were there on Saturday, and the role demo / beach invasion included a Royal Navy Sea King from Yeovilton. The sign on the side says "Royal Navy".

I'll check my photos from yesterday to see if it was this one that we saw....

Thanks Tim, I belong to a photo journal website called Blipfoto and the very next day the Sea King was on one of my 'friends' at Sunderland. See this link.

12.12 today (29th July) over Harston on the A10, heading SE with four miles to run, a Hurricane on way to Duxford, couldn't identify it as I was looking up through my sunroof at the time.

Has no one really spotted anything since July the 31st?
