Late as usual...

Yesterday morning about 10.30 near Northampton I saw the ex BBMF Dove on what must have been a test flight following the service she was undergoing in the Classic Flight hangar before Christmas.

Then I spotted about 120 club members and committee members in a big huddle...

Then I saw a very cheeky Jackdaw looking out of his (or her) front door (a hole in the rudder of the Guppy)  We should have waited to see how it came back, cos I reckon that must be some great flying skill)
I'll never give up on the dream!

Some form of learjet type aircraft doing circuits over Pompey Harbour and Portsdown Hill, assuming it is military and perhaps testing the radar on top of the hill, but too high up for me to distinguish if it is RAF or RN....pretty sure it's not a Sentinel though.

Two Boeing Stearmans of the Breitling "Flying Circus" or whatever they're called now, formation flying over Chedworth Roman Villa, as I found out, two miles from Rendcomb today, 2p.m..

A 400m going round and round the garden (like a teddy bear? ;)) this afternoon.

Then an 8 Sqn Sentry this evening - it's almost like the R.A.F. are trying to make a come back here!

That's probably more R.A.F. aircraft than I'll see in the air for the rest of the summer...

B52 over the house, on a direct bearing from Fairford, then started a long, slow turn, perhaps he forgot his sandwiches!

Can a B52 do anything other than a long, slow turn? ;)

Sorry to hear you are feeling funny, Dee!

Yesterday the Classic flight Anson had her first Airtest, there is talk of the Heron flying some time soon.

R.A.F. Herc at what passes for low level these days down near Northampton this afternoon.
