Thank You Morrisons
« on: August 15, 2010, 02:59:53 PM »
We should say a big 'thank you' to Morrisons for getting us out of a bit of a pickle at Lowestoft. We ran out of carrier bags on Thursday and it would have been a bit tricky to sell many items without them on Friday, especially with the torrential downpours. Luckily, after a bit of explaining (and Vulcan badge flashing), they donated 1000 carrier bags, and the crisis was averted! Thanks guys...

Yes, and thank to Tim and his well honed 'blagging' powers, a useful art for any Vulcan Volunteer as many will know.  :D

I trust Morrisons were 'informally approached' regarding potential sponsorship - whilst bag blagging took place !!!

I think sponsorship deals fell out of the Beccles branch duty manager's area of responsibility :)  However, I intend to send off an email or letter to them. You never know, it might make their internal staff magazine or notice board and get a bit of publicity.
