You are correct....the trains were a nightmare as SWT offered a cheap deal of £10 to go anywhere in the SW at weekends. The trains were standing room only and then ours broke down due to being overloaded, the auto brakes kept coming on. We were stuck for over an hour and then had to get out at the next station to reduce the weight.  Then to top it all the bus that was suppossed to run every 20 mins to take passengers from either Pokesdown or Bournemouth stations to the seafront, failed to mateirialise. All in all....I and many others arrived nearly 2 hours late.
This year I am doing the normal thing and going on the park and ride which is £12 this year. I have no intention of going very early. There was more than enough space last year to fit your chair anywhere you wanted between Boscombe and crowd centre.  Think I'll plan to arrive at the parking at 10 ish and hope for the best. There are 3 park and ride locations which should be well signposted. I might go to the airfield viewing area on Sunday afternoon.Depends on weather....I don't do rain  :x

Hi Ken

Trading hours are 10am - 6pm although we can stay open a bit later if busy still.

We have one stand on East Overcliff opposite Ocean View Hotel on the grass where park and ride drop off. The second stand is down on the front by lamp post 14, midway between Boscombe and Bournemouth pier. The third stand is going to be a bit further towards Bournemouth this year than last Boscombe end by lampost 7 in place for Sat/Sun.

I'd keep an eye on the 'Flight Schedule' section rather than 'Aviation Waffle'  ;)
