Bournemouth Air Festival
« on: August 14, 2011, 05:33:44 PM »
VV will be out and about during all 4 days of the upcomming Bournemouth Air Festival - 18th to 21st Aug.

Only one VV this year - but located in a prime location at Pier Approach opposite Harry Ramsdens chippy. Hopefully we can build on the success of the previous years. If any club/forum members are visiting, please do pop in and say hello and feel free to spend some money  ;)

Anyone wanting to help out on any of the 4 days can either PM me or Ian Homer (PA28) with details/dates etc.

Hopefully we should be well stocked with inflatable Vulcans for the kids. They were a huge seller at Yeovilton a few weeks ago, so much so - they ran out of them  :D

Here's looking foward to a busy 4 days - and hoping the weather plays ball this year !!

VV was all set up and ready to go this afternoon. Shame that we won't be getting a display, but these things happen....

I can see that PA system causing a problem. We have wire cutters at the ready if it gets too much  . All we need to do now is sort out free chips from Harry Ramsdens !!

Plenty of space for shoppers to spend their money whilst it is raining tomorrow, thankfully there's a wooden floor so the volunteers aren't stading for hours on end in quick sand!

The tide doesn't come in that far.... Only in a storm force gale it can sometimes breach and wash the roadway. No fear of that happening for the next few days  ;)

Well, it's 10:15, and it's peeing down, incredibly gloomy and the cloudbase is approximately the same height as a duck's backside... :-(
