so 558 probably wouldnt have made the trip down south anyway then ? Ponchos are a great idea, spent ages trying to find one at RIAT, all sold out, so a good item to stock ! love the idea of Handel s water music from a dinghy !

IIRC the idea of branded Ponchos was knocked on the head last time for the usual reason of cost - had to be ordered in huge numbers to get the price down. :(

...and today we'd probably have sold huge numbers...!!

Night show cancelled.  Hoping for better weather tomorrow.  I popped in after lunch to make fun of the weather and ended up roped in for the remainder of the day.  Trading was hardly brisk or riotous, but there was a fairly steady stream all afternoon, and not just the one running under the flooring!

A few from todays VV

More impending rain - after the deluge that went before it  :(. The channels carved in the sand are an indication of the downpours we endured during the morning !

VV set up and ready to go

Maggie trying to escape for a Schmoke

Deserted Prom and beach - due to weather

All flying displays were cancelled due to weather conditions.... some were left alone with thier thoughts. Only things flying were the infamous 'Seagull' display team

Colston Nichols became a bit of a celebrity by signing some Vulcan prints, seen here chatting to Dr P about the quality of coffee on offer, and not getting free chips from Harry Ramdens (Only kidding) :D

That would be Flt Lt Colston Nichols, ex 617 Squadron Vulcan Captain, and a resident of Poole, hence coming to help this weekend.  He flew 558 on a few occasions, and his crew also had a rather unfortunate accident with the can heater and some tomato soup on one occasion....  I think he's posted on here once or twice too.

Weather is looking MUCH better today.  :-)
