Doncaster Deaf School - 25/03/12 - Photography By Lewis Steeper

A great day in connection with aerobility, the hearing impaired children and adults came for a tour of Directions, Hangar 3, a Tour of XH558 and then they were all treated to a 20 minute flight in a small prop aircraft. The weather was fantastic and a great day was had by all - nothing beats the feeling of seeing a child smile after they landed!

XH558: 20/05/12 - Cosford / National Memorial Arboretum.

The BBC filming the aircraft for a documentary to be shown in the autumn.

The BBC filming again, this time Martin climbing into the aircraft ready to crew in.

The aircraft taxi's to runway 02 at Doncaster ready for departure into the circuit.

Martin and Bill showing the local wildlife how its done..

Sadly with low light and very hazy conditions, photography of the landing was quite impossible, but one to show her slender lines!

Wheelie! :)

Ray giving us his rendition of YMCA! :)

Whilst the aircraft dissapeared into the gloom, the crew returned for jaffa cakes and fresh tea's and coffees and to watch the fly past on the interweb! :)

Arriving back onto stand..

Taff hard at work once the flying is complete, the aircraft has been secured and blanked.

Toni trying to steal the aircrews chocolates! (No bounty's were hurt in the making of this photograph!)

And finally, our Pilot, Bill Perrins in the naugty corner after landing!

Thanks to the aircrew, ground crew, airport operations for their help with another fine day! Here's hoping for some better weather soon!
