XH558's Diamond Jubilee Tour Donations
« on: September 12, 2012, 01:29:45 PM »
Is there an alternative to "text donate" available for this funding?

Yes, donate in any other way and the office can add up daily/weekly totals over and above the daily average trends and that will be added to the specific text campaign to arrive at our FUEL LEVEL to be shown daily on the gauge. It's all about securing £15,000 more than what is in the bank right now!

Instead of a fuel gauge, could we not have the Tour route map marked up with the flight distance funded so far?

Just a thought! Might encourage people to donate if they know '558 is scheduled to fly near them.

What a good idea Gully - I think there will be many who would like to know where she is likely to appear.

The problem is (according to newsbytes), that discussions are still ongoing with regards to places they hope to fly over, so until things are finalised with the actual locations I don't see how they can publicise the route.

Great Idea Gully, it would certainly encourage me to donate more than the normal if I knew it was likely she would fly over the birthplace of the jet engine - Gloucester.

Yes I would love to know the planned route and how far along that route the current funding would take her. Rather more information would surely boost donations.
Having missed two opportunities so see XH558 at my local airfield because I had no idea she would be there, I think we all deserve to know more about what is being planned. She belongs to the Nation and certainly to those who have funded her over so many years to reach this point. So, come on please give us all more information.

A fabulous display of team spirit! If we all think like that, she won't be going further than the Costa del Doncaster

Now now, let's have none of this! Wherever the tour goes will be wondeful and marvellous. The route gets my complete and total approval!
