Surely the engineers know what engines have gone in/out and are spare? They seem to have gone conspicuously quiet on the matter though.

That's the problem , though.....from the time of the engine-lunching incident , various members of the Trust have been saying different things -- some say the 'good spares' include the 'high mag-chip' one & the 'corroded' one , some include the 'mag-chip' one only , some exclude both.
Not helped by the fact that we get what we think is the definitive answer , only for someone else to say something different.

On Look North the other day it was said that one of the engines had come to the end of it's authorised life but in todays newsletter it says it has hours left on it and the swap is for engine management purposes.
