Engine tests

Sounds exciting! I was just wondering if an oil change is part of the usual engine testing procedure and if anyone knows what sort of tests are carried out as part of the process?

The oil change is because we have just fitted a new engine and its normal to run the engine to check it is ok and then drain and flush the oil. That way when it come to flying it has clean oil and been and tested. As for the testing that is covered by servicing procedures and we will check the idle, maximum along with all the pressures and system functions.
