Problem purchasing Blades Raffle Ticket
« on: September 24, 2010, 10:58:35 AM »
Hope this is the right place to post...please move if not...

I've just put my order in for a raffle ticket - via the webshop this morning.  All was going great, registered and got to the payment page, where I selected Paypal.  However after clicking through next, I get the message "This recipient is currently unable to receive money" and my order status is now stored as "pending" .

Has anyone else had a problem?  Is this this just a error - and more importantly, as I have now got the winning ticket    -  do I still have this "ticket" !!  :o

Regards, Mike

Got a lightning reply from Ian, there's a tech issue - hope it's everyone overloading the system buying tickets !!  :)

Just got to phone the office - so looks like I still have my winner!

Yes, sorry PAYPAL Interface is playing up - all we need!!

Please complete the order on the Web Shop to pending status, then call the office on 0845 5046 558 (local call rate) and we can take your Card Details.

I then have to manually flag the order to "paid" and the system will allocate your tickets.

I've now had to close the Raffle due to continuing technical difficulties.

However, if you have placed a "pending" order, I will be making contact by phone to take payment details to run through the Card Machine and
the system can then be updated to accept your entry.

I'll be doing this tonight and tomorrow morning.

The Draw takes place on Sunday - Good Luck all and once again, sorry over the difficulties today.

Regards,
Ian.

So that is totally closed? or just closed until the Paypal problems are resolved? It would seem a shame to not be able to sell £14000 of raffle tickets.

Garry,

The PAYPAL issue is not going to resolved by morning.... and I have 100+ tickets to call just to claw back potential.

About 1100 @ £5.58 in less than a week is good going, especially when added to the £4,995 a kind lady has just paid for the Auction.
That is £11,000+ we did not have last week!

With more time, we can do so much more with these electronic Raffles, but we also have to satisfy Regulatory controls....

Regards,
Ian.

Cheers Ian

Not a complaint. Just a clarification. Sham eto miss some money streams, however, some will always be better than none.

Here's to some more online raffles.
