Carry On and. .. . . ..
« on: July 24, 2013, 08:20:08 AM »
At RIAT noticed lots of people wearing 'Carry On and Keep XXXX' T Shirts.

How about a T Shirt for next season with XH558 picture/logo and something like

"Carry On and Keep Flying"

Good idea, but I know that there have been claims that 1 company has tried to trademark the 'Keep Calm and Carry On' slogan within the EU as they failed to do this in the UK. Not sure how they claim to have any rights over this as I'm pretty sure it was used in WWII by the Govt. I guess changing some of the words in the slogan would get around this.

How about a T-shirt with a Vulcan shaped union jack and the words "Keep Calm and Keep Her Flying!" on the front.

Great idea, Hedge, I would definitely buy a few of those and I can think of plenty of others who would do the same    :D

Mock ups on the way - no guarantees on production but agree it's a good idea  :D

Not really, I think if we had an XH558 logo or picture, or a vulcan shaped Union Flag with something about XH558 on the back the words 'The Vulcan' would be superfluous.
The beauty of the 'Carry On' slogan is it's brevity and I think 'Carry on and Keep Flying' would be sufficient, with as above, something on the back.

The bit on the back could have the 'Woosh' and information such as (but probably a bit too long maybe)

I've done a couple of pages on Open Office and photographed them on my laptop so I can upload them to the thread. This is the sort of thing I was thinking of but I bow to the greater marketing knowledge of the Trust and Club.

N.B. logos are for example only, the two yellow arrows are supposed to represent the 'Woosh' symbol
