There is one but doesn't appear to be visible as I have been moving lists across. Paul please can you check this? Thank you.

Are we going to be having a volunteers events page on this forum? Was a useful reference point for volunteers, saved trawling the whole forum and then ringing one of the committee at 4am  :D

Previously "active topics" had a "since" dropdown (defaulting to last visit time) - this worked well - could quickly pull up e.g. last day, 2 days (as well as the oft required since last visit), so if you wanted to check something recently read could find it quick.

Previously Members' real names could be viewed in their profile.
Could this be re-introduced with an option for members to keep real name hidden if they wish ?
Alternatively I suppose we could establish a convention of adding them in one of the text fields - e.g. "interests"

Can we have the 24hr clock back.. ?  Are 'stickies' in the pipeline ?

Why is there not a dedicated Engineering Section on the homepage ?

I love the new forum. It is so much quicker to see posts you haven't seen...just click on "new posts" which shows them in time order, and then click on "unread posts" until you've read them all....simples  :geek:

There is a clock on the main forum page, but why do you need one?

Stickies are only available for moderators

Engineering section, Because it wasnt designed into the new build.

The forum is doing weird things for me, whevever I post it says" you can't post again this soon" or something, so I try a couple of times and then go off in a huff. Clearly every time I try, it's posting for me    and the smilies work at home but not at work    and it's all horrible and 747s are better than Vulcans anyway, wahwahwah

this is known as flood control which is set at 15 seconds, as its thought  that 15 seconds is a reasonable amount of time to be able to read a post think about a reply then type it and press submit.  If you can do that quicker then you will just have to wait.

Don't get me wrong, I think the whole site looks fantastic and very professional now but (although this is really an argument for another thread) I also really do think there should be an engineering section linked from the homepage  :) .

Maybe I should have posted this here , rather than in the Forum area I initially posted it.......

On the "Members" list page :
One of the fields is "Rank" ...... is there a point to this , as the only one listed in it is the Site Admin. ?
If the column width for "Username" was reduced by about 50% , there would also be space to seperate the "Location" & "Website" fields .....at the moment , they look rather cluttered by being combined.
Finally , just a minor one ....... would it be possible to set the "Posts" column to default to the highest number of posts rather than the lowest { after all , if it's like the old Forum about 95% of members will either never post or only post once }

Is it me, or is there another secret little area that contains a "chit chat" zone that I have not found?

I said "no more passwords" and look what happened!

No secret areas here you just need to follow the advice in the announcement in the web site announcements area.

I'm finding that when I click on a posted link, it doesn't open in a new window, but instead of the forum. I then have to click the back button to retun to the forum. Bit of a pain when you follow further links. I'm using IE8.

Used to have this problem with Iconic (which uses the same software), but they've fixed that now! Be good if we can do the same.

Thanks, Paul.

You only asked for that because you're the leading poster!!! - nudge , nudge! - maybe we should make a £5 donation as we pass 100 posts, all in a good cause.
