Andy Brown (Hairrig) pointed this out to me. Wow, I think I know what will be the star attraction in August this year:

all my holidays on hold until I've seen the dates :D

Dare we consider the sight of 558 with a Lancaster on each wing tip?

That is fantastic news. I doubt we will get a flypast with aircraft abreast, but a follow on may be permitted.

Speculation, and as they say, after August 14th their will be attendances and displays so look what may happen, Eastbourne, Dunsfold, Shoreham, Bournemouth, and guess what? East Kirkby have a Props and Pistons day on the 25th - what an opportunity.

Must admit that the thought of two Lancs and '558 in a loose formation doesn't really do anything for me. I prefer to see '558 with her contemporaries - hoping for a Canberra formation at some stage this year.

However, I'd love to see the two Lancs with Sally B - three classic WW2 'heavies' together.

Have you no heart? Just remember that the Vulcan & the Lancaster were designed by the same man & only about 10 years apart. Flying together  they give the opportunity to see just how much progress was made in that brief time.

This is fantastic! My immediate thought was the East Kirby connection -  Just Jane being over flown by two Lancasters - as low as possible would make a fabulous photo. It's going to be a quite a summer on the circuit.
