Wish these figures on the front page would move a bit faster
I agree.  My cheque was posted today, and it went recorded delivery.  Have the piece of paper with a tracking number on it.  Sorry that the amount cannot be used with gift aid, but I do not work :( .  I hope it goes some way to the total.

A very informative posting here under Latest News: http://www.vulcantothesky.org/news/132/ ... lease.html

Also, you can check the Appeal progress by the link that sits under the Count-down Calendar - or off the "How to Help" page, under
CURRENT FUNDING.

Just read it and posted a comment on another aircraft forum, which is:
So, they have the meeting on Thursday night, and say that they don't have quite enough money. There is then 3 more days to get the money in. I thought that the meeting would have been on the last day. Will the public be told on Friday morning what has happened, or will they keep it to themselves until Monday 1st November?
Also:
What would they do if they say it is grounded forever, and then someone comes up with the money, can they go back on the decision and say it is now saved?

I assume the meetings and announcements are based upon the staff notices periods and the need to advise them on Friday 29th as to what is occurring.

As for going back on a decision to go into administration, I guess that will depend on the timeframe and any continuity of care / maintenance issues with '558 and re-employing the team, but most importantly the will of the administrators, as it would be out of the Trust's hands once administrators had been called in.

From reading between the lines, I'm convinced that the current situation isn't quite as dire as some sources might want us to think.  Granted, it's waaaaaay short of where it would be ideal to be, but I'm far more optimistic that at this stage of the last crisis we had....
