David McIntire
« on: October 11, 2011, 07:22:43 PM »
OK, I'm probably contravening the rules of this category on the forum as I am not 'Former Aircrew' but can't think of anywhere else to post it.

During my research of XM569 I came across a Maltese chap called Carmel J. Attard who took the photograph that I am using on the cover of the history document.

He asked me if I know David McIntire, or maybe McIntyre as I don't know the correct spelling. I don't but wondered if anyone else knows him or what has happened to him since he was a Canberra PR9 pilot in Malta. After the Canberra's he moved onto Vulcans so Carmel informs me.

Incidentally, the document has been updated over the past few days so if anyone is interested it can be downloaded from :

Thanks PhillyJ and David.
I'll pass on the good news that you are alive and well to Carmel.

Best wishes
Dave

By the way David, you probably know Brian Crook as well as you were on XIII Squadron. He's also alive and well and living in Wiltshire.
