And me, wonderful to see her over Gloucestershire again, sad it's the last time but thank goodness my grandson saw it. He'll remember that I took him to see that when I'm long gone.
Thank you for the past 8 years, it's been wonderful.
As I was taking the Farewell to Flight booklets around, Lennon my Grandson in tow with the donation bucket, I don't know how many people asked if there really was no chance of her continuing. Explanation and pointing out the future plans ensued but many people were very bitter that the government won't sponsor her like the BBMF.
I did explain that she's not an RAF aircraft and we've done incredibly well for a private venture, and the flying hours achieved, the wing spar mod etc. People just don't understand I'm afraid.
It was sad today, but I "Smiled through the Tears"
Thank you to the Trust, the crews both ground and air, the operations team, the logistics team, the technical companies that have supported her through the restoration and return to flight and the Club for the support they have given over many years.
I've asked Sarah to keep me posted and shout if I'm needed again, even us oldies will rally to the call to arms.

Lennon our little helper today
