Good video, nice little display, does anyone know who had the poignant honour of the cockpit?

I know I'm going to incense a few people again with this comment, but ....

It's almost certainly the end of flight for VULCAN for a long time, but let's hope that XH558 may get its wings back some day in a more enlightened age.

I've answered my own question now;
Predictably & fittingly it was Martin Withers along with Bill Ramsey and AEO's Jonathan Lazzari & Phil Davies.

More enjoyable film than the PlanesTV coverage although there's something charming about Sean Maffett's voice.

"More enjoyable film than the PlanesTV coverage ..."

I was going to say that was a little harsh, until I saw all of this, and realise just how much PlanesTV had missed, with just the landing stuck on the end!  I'm surprised they haven't done an edit, and surprised they didn't have a camera on the mound given the clear view from there.  However it did have good bits - vapour streaming off the wings was fantastic - as well as dear old Sean, so I'll be editing them together to keep.

A pious (but vain) hope she will fly again isn't incensing, but the bitching and insulting language in some quarters is irritating.

excellent video and thanks for posting it, finally I have seen the last landing for myself although seeing it live on the feed would have been better and actually being there better still - a sad way for it to all finish

Fabulous piece of filming, brings a lump to the throat. My father built the Vulcan at Chadderton and Woodford and the Lancaster before that. Absolutley magnificent piece of machinery.

Hi Everyone,

I have seen various Final Flight Video's all very good in their own way, I enjoyed this one very much. Talking about Planes TV missing parts of the last flight!!!! Could it be they want you to buy their DVD /Blue Ray DVD? I Agree Andy it is a very sad time, but I forvone have enjoyed the last 8 years +
