My thoughts too, if you mean XH134 which was flying in 2014. AFAIK it is airworthy apart from a revalidation service. Was it sold at Bonhams in March? The story is confused, but apparently it didn't quite meet its reserve. Can't believe it was so cheap at £50k, tempted ...
My first thought was that TVOC bought the other one as it was cheaper, less likely now. More likely is its history.
Running costs of classic aircraft compared to classic cars is what depresses the price of the former, for the latter you don't even need to pay for road tax (pre-76) or have an MOT (pre-60).
