Red Arrows 'safety'
« on: September 12, 2016, 10:48:45 AM »
Whilst on holiday last week I saw the Red Arrows fly over and then realised they were flying to Chatsworth Country Fair. We then saw some parked cars and watched the display from a distance.

Subsequently saw this on the Chatsworth website

  https://chatsworthcountryfair.co.uk/red-arrows-safety-info

so probably couldn't have got much closer.

Is this CAA, Chatsworth or the new regime at the Reds? Seems total overkill.

Bear in mind that many of their performances are over airfields or the sea, with the former having their own exclusion zones, and the width of the red zone only represents about 600m.  They will cover a far bigger area than that in total.  I wonder what happened for Goodwood.
